About Nicole
Nicole Huff, Soprano, is currently completing her Master of Music in Vocal Performance with a Vocology Certificate at University of Memphis. During her graduate studies, she studied with Carlos Santelli and Mary Wilson. Additionally she performed the roles of Genovieffa in Suor Angelica and the title role in Song of the Nightingale by Lisa DeSpain. She also appeared with Opera Memphis as a chorus member in The Rake’s Progress.
Nicole earned her undergraduate degree from University of Texas at Austin, where she studied with Jill Grove and Lillian Guerrero. There, she performed in the choruses of several major operatic productions, including La Bohème, The Queen of Spades, and Carmen.
Nicole has also participated in several summer training programs, including Musica nelle Marche, Texas Tech Matador Opera, and the International Performing Arts Institute Bavaria. There, she performed operatic scenes, the role of Adele in Die Fledermaus, received advanced coaching, refined her Italian and German diction, and further developed her vocal technique while working with internationally active performers and faculty. Through these programs, she has continued to refine her artistry and expand her repertoire while gaining experience in both staged productions and concert performance.
In addition to her operatic work, Nicole is an active concert soloist. She recently performed the Pie Jesu soprano solo in John Rutter’s Requiem with Germantown Presbyterian Church. Her recent accolades include first place in the Aria Competition at the International Performing Arts Institute Bavaria and winning the Memphis Beethoven Club Young Artist Competition. Nicole continues to pursue opportunities in both opera and concert repertoire while developing a strong interest in vocal health and science through her studies in vocology.
